How can I add pre-existing child records to a newly created parent record?

We are designing a stepper that creates a parent entity. We then need to link it to existing child records. The stepper only seems to allow the creation of new child records.

Hello Ben,
Indeed, in a stepper you'll only see the parent and the known linked children.
In order to add this newly created parent to existing records, you'll need to enter those children records and update the parent field.
