Accessibility – High Contrast or Colorblind-Friendly Options in Semarchy xDI

Hello,

We were wondering if there is an option or configuration to adapt the display for users who are color-blind or need enhanced visual contrasts. For some people, it's hard to tell the difference between an activated and a deactivated filter in a mapping. The same applies to color arrows in a process.

If such a feature is already available, could you please tell us how to activate or configure it?

If not, do you plan to add this feature in a future version of the tool?

Thank you in advance for your help and feedback,

have a nice day,

Hello,

Thank you for raising this point, it's a valid and important concern.

Unfortunately, there is currently no built-in configuration or option in Semarchy xDI Designer to adapt the color scheme for color-blind users or to enable a high-contrast display mode (for example, to better distinguish between activated/deactivated filters in a mapping, or the colored arrows in a process). The color palette used for these visual indicators is currently fixed and not user-configurable.

We don't have a specific roadmap commitment for this at the moment, but we do want to let you know that this feedback is valuable to us. We'll make sure it's logged and passed along internally as a product improvement suggestion, since we've actually seen similar requests raised by other users as well.

In the meantime, if it helps as a workaround, some users rely on OS-level or browser-level accessibility tools (such as color-blindness correction filters/extensions, or OS-level contrast enhancement settings) to improve the visibility of these indicators, though we recognize this isn't as reliable as a native, purpose-built option within the tool.

Thank you again for sharing this feedback, and please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any other suggestions or questions.

Best regards
