Workflow to edit an existing record : Portal

Hi -

We have workflow in place to guide the 'creation' process. We have a setup in workflow where we have one role ( BusinessUser) creates a new product and it goes to Data steward for review and approval before the record is submitted.

We want to have a similar workflow for 'edit/changes' to the product master data and whenever user makes a change then it goes to data steward for review before the change is submitted.

Any suggestions on how we can accomplish that ?

Any pointers are appreciated.

Hello sumit,

It is same as you create a workflow for creation of a record just need to change Context type to Start from Selection in Startup Context Which appears when you click on Start Event as shown in image.

Here is two Context type:-

Start From Empty Selection :- When workflow start for fresh record or need to create new record.

Start from Selection :- Workflow start when a existing record is selected .(Select when need to edit existing record ).
