Can i sort attribute in form which has the component type as Reference? this form is for authoring purpose. We want alphabetically sorted referenced attribute (attribute name is FDN_legalEntity)

There are steps in our documentation on how toconfigure a Reference Selection - see step 5 on how to use a Sort Expression to sort the selectable references in a stepper Reference Selection.
