master-detail relation between 2 charts is not available in Dashboard Builder. But you can use Slicers to help your end-users with master-detail relationships. In fact, Slicer Options offer for both Dashboard Slicers and Slicers in a Tab the possibility to show items with no data either greyed out or displayed at the end of the slicer values.
For example, you might have a first Slicer displaying Families, and the other one displaying Sub-Families, and two Charts, one displaying Family values, and the other Sub-Family values :
Clicking on the FamilySlicer can
Filter both Charts if you make sure that the Sub-FamilyChart is also set as a Filtered chart in the Slicer properties
Make the second Slicer grey out Sub-Families that do not belong to the selected Family
Because the selection of Sub-Families is easier thanks to the non-greyed out values, the end-user can access detailed Sub-Families to filter the second Chart accordingly
This is how you might answer your business needs.
